About the Event
Join the Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail for an Earth Day trash removal on Saturday, April 25 from 10 am–12 pm near Marina Towers in Alexandria, VA. We’ll focus on removing trash from the marsh along the Mount Vernon Trail — an area with significant litter.
This is the organization’s signature Earth Day event and also part of Celebrate Trails Day, with 150+ volunteers expected. Please note: this location is not easily accessible by public transit; check the event registration site for more details about traveling to the location.
Volunteers should bring water and wear long sleeves, long pants, and sturdy shoes (waterproof boots recommended if you have them). Gloves will be available to borrow.
